Exclusive Soganli Valley & Underground City Tour with Lunch

Join us for an exhilarating tour of Cappadocia’s Soganli Valley and Underground City! Our adventure begins at 9:30 am with hotel pickup. First, we’ll drive to Ortahisar Panorama Point (Lavanta Panorama) to enjoy breathtaking views of Ortahisar Castle. Our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the region’s history and geography.

Next, we’ll explore Mustafapasa (known as Sinasos in Greek), a former Greek village renowned for its beautiful architecture. Until the population exchange of 1924, both Turkish and Greek communities thrived here. You’ll have the opportunity to admire old Greek houses, an Ottoman madrasah, and a 19th-century church.

After Mustafapasa, we’ll visit Keslik Monastery, a lesser-known yet captivating site housing three churches from different periods. Particularly noteworthy is the Church of Archangels, adorned with impressive paintings depicting the life of Jesus and Mother Mary. Our journey continues to the Sobessos Excavation Site, where Roman baths, tombs, a temple, and exquisite mosaics have been unearthed.

Next, we’ll venture into Soganli Valley, renowned for its tranquility and ancient cave churches. A scenic hike along one side of the valley will allow us to explore these historical sites before returning through the picturesque old village for a delightful lunch in the valley.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore Derinkuyu Underground City, the deepest underground city in Cappadocia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the fascinating caves and learn about the unique lifestyle in this remarkable city. Our tour concludes around 4:30-5:00 pm with a comfortable return to your hotel.
